Gateway is excited to welcome Ryan Disque back to our community as Director of Lacrosse and Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach.

Ryan returns to Gateway after a year away, bringing more than a decade of coaching experience and a track record of building strong programs. During his time at Gateway, he helped grow the high school roster from fewer than 20 to more than 60 athletes, added JV and youth teams, and launched a girls' program. He also led the team to state quarterfinals or semifinals in every season, won a district title, and helped build a culture rooted in grit, accountability, and leadership.

We are thrilled to have Coach Disque back and look forward to the leadership and momentum he will bring to Gateway Lacrosse!

The district's largest school, Gateway College Preparatory, scored a high A, earning five of seven campus distinctions. Kingsland School received a C, and Gateway Tech, a high school credit recovery school, received an A. Nolan Creek School in Belton earned a B for the first time in the school's 10-year history.

"Our scores are a reflection of two years of intentional hard work, centered on data-driven instruction, personalized learning plans and a relentless focus on student growth and college readiness," said Carla Silber, superintendent of Orenda Charter School District. "I am so honored to work and lead such an amazing district of educators."

Texas provides annual academic accountability ratings to its public school districts. The ratings are based on performance on state standardized tests, graduation rates, and college, career and military readiness outcomes. They examine student achievement, school progress and the closing of achievement gaps among student groups. The most recent individual district and campus data is available at TXschools.gov.
