Orenda Education is now using Raptor Volunteer Management to streamline the volunteer application and approval process. 

Who Does Not Need to Apply?

The following individuals do not need to submit a volunteer application:

  • Current Orenda Education employees or substitutes
  • Approved contractors for the current school year

Please note: All former employees and former substitutes will need to complete a volunteer application.

Important: Annual Volunteer Application

All volunteers are required to reapply each school year. Your volunteer approval is valid for the current school year only. You will need to complete a new volunteer application each year to continue volunteering with Orenda Education.

What you will need to Apply

Before beginning your application, please make sure you have the following:

  • Your own email address: Each individual applying must have a unique email address. Please provide a valid email address so you can receive updates regarding your application status and future communications related to your volunteer service.
  • Valid government-issued photo identification: You will need a valid government-issued photo ID to complete the application.

Important: The information entered on your application must match your government-issued identification, including your full legal name.

Submitting Your Volunteer Application

  1. Once you submit your application through Raptor Volunteer Management, it will be reviewed. You should receive a response within 2–4 business days. You will receive a notification regarding your volunteer status: Received, Approved, or Denied.
  2. If additional information or documentation is needed, you will be notified with instructions regarding the next steps.
  3. As part of the application process, you will be asked to review and sign the Volunteer Handbook to acknowledge your understanding of the responsibilities and expectations of serving as an Orenda Education volunteer.
