Counseling Approaches and Background

Ms. Liz Guidry is in her 5th year as a certified professional school counselor.  She uses the approach in working with students that our thoughts cause our feelings and behaviors, not people or situations. Many students, with the assistance of the counselor, are able to change their behavior while working together towards a healthy goal, even if the situation does not change. This approach is based on the Cognitive Behavior Therapy model.
